On September 25th of 2006 Alcatraz Cruises, part of the notoriously anti-union Hornblower Yachts, took over the contract to run the Alcatraz ferry service using non union crews for the first time since the service began in the early 70's.
Unions take on AOL's 'Email tax'

Right now, America Online (AOL) and other internet service providers are considering imposing charges on email sent to their subscribers. This is no problem for Wal-Mart and McDonalds -- but it is a problem for those of us fighting against Wal-Mart and McDonalds. We must bring pressure to bear to compel AOL and others to change their minds, and to keep email free.
Why do the AFL-CIO and/or CTW and their affiliated unions fear interactive sites?
Submitted by intexile on Mon, 03/13/2006 - 2:01amThe United Farm Workers have updated their website (http://www.ufw.org).
While it certainly is a visual and/or informational improvement over their previous site, they still lack user-driven interactive features, such as user accounts, the ability to post news and blog entries, and member driven forums. Like so many other CTW and AFL-CIO websites, the UFW remains at best ignorant and at worst fearful of a democratic communications network.
