It has been brought to my attention by Tony Budak that Art Shostak maintains a list of union webmasters. I will volunteer to contact Art to see how he feels about using it to help promote this site to them.

Marketing and Outreach
Well, I have just sent out the "invite to join" CoD, to labor-L, Labor left Opposition, YSU working class, alt.webmaster, alt.dreamweaver. alt.society-labor unions. I reckon that will hit easy three thousand addresses. And I have some more to send out yet.
I am interested to see the response.

After the initial membership build-up, the task will be to figure out what to do with all the energy and ideas so we can move it in a productive direction. That won't be easy.

By the Way, (1)in addition to Shostak there is Eric Lee. He hosts a labor web master forum at

If you can't get there through this very long URL go to the Labor Start home page, scroll down the left side to the link about things that don't fit here, exicute that, then look for forums in the middle of the page, exicute that, by now you should be there or very close to the Web Master forum. WHEW!
Being a forum it is a perminent outreach location and I suspect there may be someone or two that may be interested in CoD.
(2) I am thinking of making a motion to the Labor Movement, lets add a new word to the slogan "educate, agitate, and organize," COLLABORATE. LOL

Steve, It occurs to me that this thread should be in the Marketing and Outreach Forum. Is that right? Can you move threads?

Yes, but not easily
This function doesn not yet exist in Drupal. I can move it by changing some data in the database but I'm not too worried about it.
